Review Methodology
Every chair on BestMassage-Chair.com is scored against five weighted pillars:
1. Massage technology (35%)
Track type and length, roller dimension (2D/3D/4D), zero gravity stages, body scan accuracy, airbag coverage, heat zone count, intensity range.
2. Comfort fit (20%)
Body-size suitability (petite vs tall vs larger frames), padding density and recovery, headrest fit, leg-rest extension, operating noise.
3. Build quality (15%)
Material grade (real vs synthetic leather, frame finish), mechanical durability indicators, assembly experience, manufacturer track record.
4. Value (15%)
Features-per-dollar — including realistic comparisons against the next tier up and down. The mid-range frequently scores best here.
5. Warranty & support (15%)
Coverage length (parts, labor, frame), responsiveness reported by real owners, parts availability over the chair’s lifetime.
Final score
Pillar scores are combined into a 0–5 editor rating. Anything 4.5 or above is recommendation-worthy in its tier; chairs scoring below 4.0 are not featured in our top picks.
